Hi, I’m ruzz.

I make thoughtful apps for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

heartbred is my independent software studio. I build clear, useful applications and take on a small number of commissioned projects.

I’m currently working on:

I released my first public app, Progress, in the software Stone Age—1995—through the Great Canadian Software Factory. In 2007, I helped develop an early online meal planner for EatingWell. I’ve been building web, back-end, and private commercial software ever since.

Curious about my tech stack? See what I use.

Swift, SwiftUI, and Xcode for native apps; TypeScript, Astro, Convex, and Cloudflare for the web and the services behind them.

You can find more of my work on heartbred’s GitHub and my personal GitHub.
